For instance, going from 80 to 100 is a 25% increase.

Things to keep in mind
- The old value is always the base: a rise from 100 to 150 is +50%, but a fall from 150 to 100 is −33.3%.
- Percentage points and percentages are different: from 10% to 12% is +2 percentage points, or a 20% increase.
- If the old value is zero, percentage change is undefined.
